The Grand Opening!

We have finally opened our doors to the public and it feels fantastic!
The support we have received so far is overwhelming and we are so proud of the final results!

An Aladdin's cave of goodies, and Amy Rose Vintage's beautiful vintage dresses!

Fancy a vintage tune on our vintage record player?

One of 'Revamps' gorgeous vintage pieces, and some good luck flowers given to us!

A couple of quirky pieces by Quirky crafts and Curios

Just a few of our good luck cards!

The place was really full, and the wine went down very well :)

We thought for a short time that we wouldn't make it, but all the hard work has paid off and now we can finally enjoy bringing some extra joy to our lovely town!

The final touches!

As we had finally decided on a date for us to open- the rush was on to get everything complete! And because we hadn't even started painting yet, or even looked at sanding the floor, the race was on!

So we got our overalls on (for the millionth time!) And gave everything a good paint...

And everything that was once gloomy and unloved- soon started to lighten up!

We managed to find a place in Bradford that houses second hand Dulux paint, and we were lucky enough to some brilliant paint that cost us hardly anything at all!
Even the metal paint we got free for the posts happened to all be different colours of blue and looked fantastic once we began painting them all.

We are completely thrilled with the new décor and even the stock room managed to get a tidy up- ready for all our stock to go in!

It has been a tough couple of months but the end is here!
Keep an eye out for the more pictures of the opening coming soon!

We are finally opening!

It's official! We have finally set our open date!
It is going to be a tight squeeze but we can do it!

We are having our first open evening on Friday 2nd Nov from 7pm with free drinks (we are attempting to home brew them as we speak!) And live music from some cracking local bands. Plus KLTV will be coming down to do some filming at some point too- I know! It is going to be a wicked night, but this is just invite only I am afraid (we will be sending these out too soon so don't worry if you haven't got yours yet!)

However we are continuing the opening throughout the whole of the weekend, so you will not miss a thing! We hope to be open pretty much all day to welcome customers new and familiar to come celebrate our brand new adventure!
We hope to see you there and would absolutely love any support you can give in helping us get ready- eep!

Lots of Love
Steph, Amy, Di and the 2 Pats x

A few little pics...

Hello! We just thought we would add a few pics of our hip happenings as they unfold.

So far we have scrubbed and scraped the walls and ceilings so they are completely free of dirt (not fun!) And we have donned our shower caps and just finished PVAing everything too- YEY!

This means we are set to paint this week, which we all know is when the real progress happens! We have already started painting the office, just the rest of it now....

We also had some free time (for once!) And got to attend the Meltham ladies night at the Sports Complex there. We drank some ginger beer, chatted to some familiar faces and a nice night was had by all!

That is all for now but we shall be updating you very shortly with more exciting news!
Have a great Monday! x

Every little helps...

Hello All!

My isn't it amazing how so much can change in such a short space of time!
We have been working our socks off to get our new place up and running as soon as possible, and things have been going well so far! We have even officially been labelled a 'Community Interest Company' which we LOVE because after all, we love our community!

However we can't help but get a bit flustered sometimes, seen as this is such a new venture to all of us! And as well as becoming our very own full time labourers, we have also had to teach ourselves EVERYTHING that comes with setting up a business!

This is why we are asking for a bit of help :)

We know that our villages are super fantastic in every way, and this wouldn't be so if it wasn't for the super fantastic and talented people who live here!
We would just like a bit of advice on a few things, and we would really love any support you can give!

We have come to the realisation that, even though we often think it, we don't know everything! And sometimes it is best to ask the professionals :)
So if anyone knows of any good tips or any good contacts even, with regards to planning permission (for change of use) Or perhaps you know where is the best place to go for grants and funding to help us get off the ground, that would be soooooo fantastic!

We also have a lot of things to plan for, including our opening event (YEY!) So we would also LOVE any ideas you have to help us raise a bit of funds, including any up and coming fairs you know of!
Perhaps you may even like to donate some things to help support us, be it your time to help us paint and get ready, your creativity and knowledge, or even some of your unwanted items for us to kit out our shop or sell at these fairs!

We cannot wait to be a part of our amazing village, and we know it is going to be such a great place for us all to enjoy! We hope you feel the same, and we appreciate all of your support and well wishes so far!

Lots of love from
Steph, Amy, Di and the two Pats!
